MAYFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio -- The Progressive Corporation today announced the appointment of Valerie Krasowski as the chief human resource officer, effective immediately.
Krasowski, 43, who currently serves as special lines general manager overseeing the marketing, product development and pricing of Progressive’s market leading motorcycle, ATV, RV, boat and personal watercraft products, first joined Progressive in 1987 as an information systems analyst.
She has served in various capacities since then including product manager and regional marketing director. She also served as the company’s business leader for compensation and benefits, a position that reported to the chief human resource officer.
Krasowski has a bachelor’s degree from Miami University (Ohio) and an MBA from Baldwin Wallace College.
CEO and President Glenn Renwick said: “Val’s more than 20 years of Progressive experience and her deep understanding of our culture and values have prepared her well for this role. She is uniquely suited to lead the human resources group in ensuring we put our people first and that our culture and values are passed on to those who are new to the organization.”
