MESA, Ariz. -- National clogging instructor Anne Mills will head up a group of Valley cloggers for the benefit of New Hope Cattle Dogs Rescue in Mesa this weekend.
New Hope Cattle Dogs Rescue provides help for discarded, stray, and unwanted Australian Cattle Dogs, which need a new home.
The clogging event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Carriage Manor RV Resort. A $10 minimum donation will be accepted at the door. There will also be a raffle and donations are now being accepted. Mills has participated in all forms of dance and started clogging in 1984.
She now travels from her home state of Washington throughout the snowbird belt, including many RV resorts in Arizona.
She received national recognition in 1993 and is on staff at seven national clogging conventions. She has also taught at numerous national square dance conventions as well as Canadian festivals. Mills is known for a unique teaching style that makes clogging easy to learn.
