SACRAMENTO - Water quality officials this week slapped fines on two San Joaquin County communities and an RV park and golf course for violating standards.
The Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board fined Tracy $78,000 for violating effluent limits at its wastewater treatment plant from February to December 2008.
The city's discharged wastewater flows into Old River, part of the Delta.
The Mountain House Community Services District was fined $30,000 for violations at its treatment plant over the same period of time.
Finally, the board issued a $22,500 fine to the French Camp RV Park and Golf Course. The park's treated wastewater, used to irrigate its golf course, did not meet quality standards for human health. As a result, the wastewater is being shipped to a treatment plant.
