(Nov. 19, 2008) -- All Larry and Diana Moyer wanted was a little RV vacation with their pampered kangaroo and a crippled goat. First, their aging RV broke down three times on the way south. A new alternator fixed the problem, and the Moyers arrived in Pinellas County, where Larry, 57, had a minor stroke and wound up in the hospital for three days. On Sunday, out of the hospital and looking for some relaxation, the couple pulled off on a spit of shoreline to do a little fishing and watch the sunset. That’s when a short circuit in a fuse box ignited the motorhome, destroying it and their wallets, identification and money. The American Red Cross got them a hotel room. (Nov. 18, 2008) -- "Although gas prices and credit problems have been used as standard excuses for the present chaos in the RV industry, it's clear from the following examples that other factors were in play before the current economic problems reared their ugly heads," writes blogger Connie Gallant.
